Welcome!

Hello wonderful family!

Welcome to the Biggest Loser Blog. This is a good base for us to share our progress, share what's working and what's not, and to give words of encouragement to each other. You are welcome to make posts to track how you're feeling, to make announcements, and to share any words of wisdom you may have. There are some pages (Nutrition, Exercise, and Words of Inspiration) that you can post on if you want to categorize your posts. Don't forget to track your weight in the Weight Loss Tracker google doc that is included and found on the side of the page under the "Great Resources" list of links. Here it is again just in case: (Click here). On the Weight Loss Tracker doc, if you don't want to disclose your weight, then simply enter in a "0" in the beginning weight column, and then if you've lost weight the next month, for example 6 pounds, then the next month you would enter "-6", if you gained 3 pounds, you would enter "+3" etc. Please let me know if you have any questions. However, you will still need to let David (the mediator) know your beginning and end weight so he can calculate the percentage of body weight lost.

Please track your weight towards the end of each month. The final weigh in will be Thanksgiving 2012.

We would encourage everyone to get a physical as soon as possible, and perhaps talk to your doctor about good, healthy options and realistic goals. Get your cholesterol count, blood pressure, etc. At the end and/or as you go, you can track your progress with these numbers as well.

Whoever healthily loses the largest percentage of body weight wins.

The winner will get just over $300 and babysitting for a romantic getaway with your spouse! If the winner is Jake Salvitti, then he can use the money for what he needs/wants :)

Good luck and don't forget to check in!! Sometimes venting about frustrations and celebrating great days is great motivation and helps you keep going! And the same goes for reading other's frustrations and celebrations.
